Before you start
Download the theme .zip from My Account → Downloads. Do not unzip it — WordPress expects the zip file. If your download contains several files, upload the one named after the theme, not the documentation package.
Upload through the dashboard
- Go to Appearance → Themes and click Add New Theme.
- Click Upload Theme, choose the .zip and click Install Now.
- When the upload finishes, click Activate.
If the upload fails
A message such as “The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive” means your host limits upload size. Ask your host to raise the limit, or upload the unzipped folder to /wp-content/themes/ with SFTP and activate it from Appearance → Themes.
After activation
Install any recommended plugins shown in the admin notice, import the demo content if you want the demo layout, then review your menus under Appearance → Menus.
